This past Saturday Oleksandr Usyk secured his second win over Anthony Joshua. A win that cleared the way for a unification bout with Tyson Fury to determine Heavyweight supremacy. That is of course if Tyson Fury comes out of retirement, but that is another story. What we do know is that Usyk and Fury are number 1-2 in the division. What does this mean for fighters 3-4 namely Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder?
The fight obviously lacks the luster it would have had four years ago when both were undefeated, but it is still a great fight to make. Both fighters carry big names, and both are vulnerable but power punching heavyweights, which on paper could make for a shootout that most likely will not go the distance. Both fighters are currently on losing streaks, with questions being asked about how much they have left in the tank.
Wouldn’t 2023 be the perfect time to find out?
