We are finally here, after 5 years Terence “Bud” Crawford will face Errol “The Truth” Spence for the undisputed welterweight title at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas.

How do the fighters stack up?

Terence Crawford (39-0, 29KO’s) is the undefeated, and former undisputed junior welterweight champion. He has been the WBO welterweight champion since 2018 when he earned a TKO victory over Jeff Horn. He has made six (6) successful defenses of said title.

Errol Spence Jr. (28-0, 22KO’s) is the undefeated IBF/WBC/WBA Champion. He won his first title stopping Kell Brook in 2017. He has defended his IBF title six (6) times, his WBC title (1) once, and will be making his first defense of the WBA championship.

I have gone over this fight in my head many times, and years later it is not any easier to pick.

Errol Spence Jr. is a natural welterweight and the bigger of the two men. He employs a swarming and fundamentally sound style to break down his opponents. He possesses a very good jab and an unrelenting body attack. While he may not possess one-punch knockout power, he simply overwhelms his opponents.

Crawford is the “flashier” of the two, and I do not mean that in a negative way at all. Where Errol is methodical, Terence is sudden. He can switch stances from orthodox to southpaw and is effective from either stance. He is a quick counter-puncher and might be the best finisher in the game. He has a nasty disposition, and when he hurts you, he gets rid of you.

As a fight fan, this is what you dream about. Two special fighters put everything on the line to determine superiority.

My Pick: Errol “The Truth” Spence in a CLOSE Majority Decision
